Well, after a last minute panic to set up funding for renewal of the Wimba licence, I left for a much needed holiday. The renewal licence was to give further trial time of voice email, voice presentations and oral assessment. Everything was agreed, using money from the business language training profits. Or so I thought! Having noticed the odd hiccup before I left, I then found on my return that the licence had expired. Even when renewed, the access did not seem to have maintained all my trial material that I had prepared for the development site. This is nagging me every minute now, as I have committed myself to demo-ing these tools and so much work is hidden..or worse, maybe lost.
I am chasing elab as much as I dare and get reassuring responses but still no solution. I am going to turn my attention back to Wimba to see what they can do..I had hoped to be concentrating now on the creative and marketing side of this project. Good job I did have a holiday, at least I have a few ounces of humour to keep me going.
