I guess if this blog was overflowing with entries it would prove I had too much time on my hands! Christmas came and went, we have just broken all records for training hours since I was in office so there's little wonder that I feel worn out! The project has helped to crystalise ideas that were vague and there certainly is increased interest in use of technology amongst Language Centre staff. I have completed my case study and I hope it will help to pave the way for a more inclusive approach to supporting use of IT. It is quite exciting to think that we could be using more reliable equipment in the near future.
I still have to complete my portfolio, which I hope to do this weekend and include the results of the peer review.I decided to conduct this using a simple online form in the hope that it would mean everyone who participated would have to visit the site in order to comment! However some have found that the hardware they have is not up to the task. I have helped them as best I can and will record the issues.
Once the portfolio is finished I will continue with the next phase, the focus groups, press and mailing in order to increase participation from clients. There are recordings to prepare and many phonecalls to make..
